Abstract:
Sungai Raya has the characteristic of peat land. This study aims to analyze the sustainability a typology of housing in the Sungai Raya thats 'typology of houses on stilts (rumah panggung), as a recommendation to design a model of sustainable settlements in the region bergambut. Research methodology using Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS), the software is modified from the Rap Rapfish into the Peatsett (Rapid Appraisal Peat Settlement). To find out sensitive indicators and the effect on the value of the index and sustainability status using Leverage analysis and Monte Carlo analysis. Values obtained from the summary assessment of sustainability experts and stakeholders selected. MDS analysis results indicate that the ecological dimension of houses on stilts sustainable enough just by 65.52%, less sustainable for economic dimensions by 41.18%, socio-cultural dimensions is sustainable enough for 56.96%, and less sustainable technology dimensions of 46.69%. From the 20 indicators analyzed from four dimensions, shows that 9 indicators of influence and five dominant indicators needs to be improved to enhance the status of sustainability in the future to achieve sustained. Error rate is quite small at 95% confidence interval. Monte Carlo analysis results shows the value that is not much different from the results of MDS analysis with a range of values between 0.2 - 0.8 which indicates that the calculation of MDS by using Rap-Peatsett have a high degree of precision.
