Abstract:
Kapuas River has been utilized for various aktivity by community of Kapur Village, including fish farming in cages. Even though the business has grown for long time, but the results were not optimal. This was due to the limitation of cultivation technology and business management are implemented. This activity aims to empower groups of aquaculture in cages in the Kapur Village to be able to overcome the problems encountered. At the dedication program was implemented four activities, namely socialization, training, fish culture and mentoring. The results showed that lhe village community understand the activities to be carried out, both the purpose and benefits. Farmer group were also willing to follow the program in earnest until finished. Then it was known that the more people understand about fish farming techniques were reflected by lhe results of the evaluation from average of only 61 to 77 point (an increase of 20.58%). It also shows that the presence of high interest to developfish farming.
