Abstract:
The objectives of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the production of aloe vera at the production center of Pontianak. Research conducted in 2010 using survey methods. Research sites in Aloe Vera Production Center, Kecamatan Pontianak Utara. Respondents were determined that as many as 43 people are active farmers of aloe vera based on data from UPTD, Terminal Agribisnis Dinas Ketahanan Pengan dan Penyuluhan Kotamadya Pontianak (2010). Research variables include: the amount of aloe vera leaf production is sold, the farm land area, number of employees, amount of fertilizer use, the amount of pesticide use, the amount of ash and the use of seed. Data analysis was conducted qualitative and quantitave, using the equation Cobb-Douglas production function is transformed into a double form of the natural logarithm (ln), so it is a form of linear regression. For assesing the regression results for ln model that meets the criteria of Best Linear Unbiased Estimator (BLUE), the inferential tes was be done. The study concluded that the model used to predict the effect of the use of production inputs to the production of fresh aloe vera leaves, give adequate results, namely the value of the coefficient of determination of 98.9 percent. The Simultaneously test on model gives F value of 595.7, it is significant at an error level of 5 percent. Partial test showed that the use of production inputs in the form of ash, urea fertilizer and land affect the production of fresh aloe vera leaves, respectively at 5 percent error significant.
