Modal Sosial dan Ketahanan Kota Tepi Air di Pontianak

Abstract

People who live on the waterfront of Pontianak City have lived side by side with the river until now. So that people think that the high tide is not part of the disaster. The purpose of this study is to identify social capital that shapes waterfront city resilience. The objectives of this study are to identify vulnerabilities in the region and to identify social capital. This research approach uses qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Data collection techniques in this study are using primary and secondary data types. The data are questionnaires, interviews, field observations, and document review. This research results in disaster vulnerability in the waterfront area of Pontianak, such as the risk of inundation, river tides, drought, the risk of damage to residential buildings, and the risk of fire. This impacts social capital, which is manifested in the value of local wisdom, adaptation and mitigation, and community resilience. This is supported by community activities in this study, namely the interaction between commnunities and about a sense of kinship between people and participating in mutual cooperation activities in the surrounding communities.
