dc.description.abstract |
This paper presents a new technique to solve non-convex economic load dispatch problem using ant lion
optimization (ALO) algorithm. ALO is a newly depeloved population-based search algorithm inspired hunting
mechanism of ant lions. The performance of ALO algorithm is tested for economic load dispatch problem of 6-unit and
40-unit test systems with incremental fuel cost functions taking into account the valve-point effects. Simulation results
shows that the proposed method has good convergence property and better in quality of solution than other algorithms
reported in recent literature. |
